“Support Bill Stewart for New Castle Select Board”

May 5 — To the Editor:

I am writing in support of Bill Stewart’s candidacy for New Castle town selectman. Over the course of the last eight years, I’ve come to know and respect him, both personally and professionally.

Bill is involved in everything in the town, from keeping our taxes in line on the Budget Committee and protecting our natural resources on the Conservation Commission to helping our kids through youth sports and activities. His enthusiasm for and commitment to our community is rare and a true gift to all of us.

I recently had an opportunity to engage Bill on a professional basis. My partners and I retained him in a consultative capacity to work with senior managers in our growing financial services firm. Bill was able quickly to understand our industry, business model, organizational structure and goals. Throughout his work for my firm, he consistently demonstrated the ability to embrace different stakeholders’ perspectives within the practical constraints of our business to effectively facilitate changes that met everyone’s objectives. In developing solutions that address the needs of our various constituents, Bill’s ability to integrate a multitude of factors — ranging from financial considerations to the culture disposition of our firm — has made him a valuable resource for our firm.

In addition to his sound technical and managerial acumen, Bill’s demeanor is a distinguishing characteristic. He approaches issues and individuals in an open manner, without bias or prejudice; his only objective is to come to the best solution for all. I believe these same skills and attributes, coupled with his dedication and love for the town, will make Bill Stewart a highly effective selectman.

Please join me in supporting Bill Stewart for New Castle Selectman.

“Please join us in voting for Bill Stewart”

May 6 – To The Editor
We endorse Bill Stewart for Selectman of New Castle. As fellow Commissioners serving on the New Castle Conservation Commission, which he has capably chaired for several years, we can testify to his knowledgeable and reasoned approach in dealing with applicants looking to do projects that fall within wetland buffers and setbacks.
Bill always listens to all sides of a presentation and works with others to reach reasonable smart decisions that satisfy the parties. During his tenure, he has diligently worked through the system to revise ordinances and create conservation plans to best protect our natural resources in town. Additionally, he has lead and initiated many outreach efforts in the community and beyond.
We feel that Bill’s ability to balance the needs of individuals with those of the community-at-large make him an ideal candidate for Selectman. Please go to the polls on Tuesday May 12 and join us in voting for Bill Stewart.

“Vote for Bill Stewart on Tuesday”

May 8 — To the Editor:
Bill Stewart will make a fine selectperson for the Town of New Castle. Bill has demonstrated a commitment to community involvement and service since he moved to New Castle with his family a decade ago. He has been active in the elementary school and currently chairs the Conservation Commission as well as serves on the Budget Committee, where his many years in finance and business are an asset.
He initiated the community tree lighting at holiday time and has spearheaded several projects undertaken by the Conservation Commission. One of his finest attributes is his evenhanded and thoughtful approach to issues, bringing residents together and helping move the community forward. Please join me in voting for Bill Stewart for the New Castle Select Board next Tuesday, May 12.
